Scope Systems Establishment. provides design, engineering, integration, installation, commissioning and servicing of instrumentation, power conversion, power protection, automation, telecommunications systems, and ICT networking and facility management, including product sales.
Scope systems Establishment places the highest emphasis on health and safety in the conduct of daily business. We are therefore committed to taking all practicable steps to ensure that all personnel are suitably informed and trained for the duties they carry out and supporting a work environment in which the risk posed from hazards are either eliminated or minimized.
To achieve this aim we:
- Maintain a Health & Safety System consistent with the requirements of ISO 45001, ensuring that business operations are conducted in a manner so as to eliminate or minimize the risk of injury to all personnel
- Set appropriate and sound Health & Safety objectives and targets which will be regularly reviewed to ensure they remain relevant, and continually improve Health & Safety performance
- Empower management to accept responsibility for the effective implementation of theHealth& Safety System
- Ensure that safe work practices, procedures, safety training and supervision are in place to encourage a safety culture, focused on preventing or reducing the risk of incidents, injuries or illhealth
- Observe and implement, as a minimum, the Acts, Regulations, Standards and other requirements (e.g. Customer) that apply to our business in order to ensure operational compliance
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments, provide risk controls, and perform policy and procedural review to meet the relevant needs of each work activity
- Consult with employees to offer suggestions to improve workplace safety • Encourage all employees to be their own ‘safety supervisor’ and provide feedback on their work locations or activities
- Provide rehabilitation as a means to promote wellbeing and maintain the self esteem ofthe individual, whilst returning any injured person to meaningful work as soon as is practicable after any incident.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve adherence to these principles and improve the effectiveness of the Health & Safety Management System
We engage our employees to support our Health & Safety Management System by:
- Providing knowledge and awareness of the Scope Systems Establishment Health & Safety Policy, and emphasizing the importance of adherence with its purpose.
Stopping work if they encounter practices or conditions that pose an imminent danger to themselves or others.
Reporting all Health and Safety incidents, as well as hazards that have the potential for injury or ill health.
