AD SERIES – DESKTOP POWER SUPPLIES
The desktop power supplies, commonly referred to as “wedge” due to their unique and ergonomic shape, provide a convenient solution for converting 12V DC mobile radio transceivers into desktop base stations. They operate on AC power sources, either 115V or 230V, without the need for manual adjustments, delivering 12V DC at 9 Amps.
BATTERY BACKUP BOX
The AD Series Desktop Power Supplies come standard with a battery backup output. This feature allows for connection to a lead-acid battery to maintain power during mains failures. As a tidy alternative to loose batteries, Alfatronix offers a battery backup box (P/N AD BBB) designed to fit beneath the desktop power supply and radio assembly. This box includes a 7Ah lead-acid gel battery, integrating all three components into a compact desktop unit. Additionally, the battery backup box features a speaker (mounted on the front) for users who prefer hands-free radio operation.
